A Bulletin of Glad Tidings
Recently, the results of the 2025 'Outstanding Basic Education Courses' selection and the collection of exemplary cases of interdisciplinary thematic learning in Anqing City have been successively announced. Teachers from the Junior High School Department of our school, with their solid teaching foundation, innovative teaching design and in-depth exploration of subject integration, achieved remarkable results in both competitions, fully demonstrating the professional quality and teaching innovation strength of our school's teaching staff.
First and foremost, in the 2025 subject excellence lesson selection event held in Anqing City, the teachers from our Junior High School Department won several awards, among whom teacher Miao Qianqian won the first prize for her English lesson 'Section B How is exercise good for us?'; Teacher Hong Xixi, Teacher Fang Ziyue, and Teacher You Xin's lessons, namely '4.3 Length of Segments', 'Unit 1 Happy Holiday Section B What can we learn from holiday experiences? (1a-1d)', and 'Section 3 Ethnic Groups' respectively, all won the second prizes. In addition, several teachers received the third prizes, who are: teacher Zeng Hui (for the Chinese lesson 'Learning to Describe Scenery'), teacher Jiang Yaqiao (for the Chinese lesson 'The Cultural Heritage Around Us'), teacher Qi Qingqing (for the English lesson 'Section B What did you learn on that special day?'), teacher Jiang Chuan (for the history lesson 'Lesson 22: Exploring the Historical Genes of Red Culture through an Activity Class'), teacher Wu Hao (for the art and music lesson 'Unit 4 Art, Music and Dance (I)'), and teacher Li Bangyu (for the physical education and health lesson 'Lesson 5 The Hazards and Causes of Obesity').
Furthermore, in the 2025 Cross-Disciplinary Theme Learning Case Collection and Evaluation Activity of Anqing City, the physics case of our Junior High School Department, titled 'Amazing Movement of the Skull: Innovative Exploration of Cross-Disciplinary Buffer Structures Based on Head Protection', won the second prize, which was led by Principal Hu Qilin, and designed by five teachers as follows: Tao Sihua, Tang Changjun, Zhang Lijuan, Yan Wu and Ge Yun.
To summarize, this award is a significant achievement of our school in emphasizing teachers' professional development and encouraging teaching innovation, which also sets an example for all teachers to engage in teaching and research and be courageous in exploration. More remarkably, in the future, our school will continue to establish more growth platforms, encouraging teachers to constantly break through in their teaching practices, and providing higher-quality teaching to facilitate the all-round development of students!
